No. 417. It is hereby notified that the following club has been exempted by the Officer Administering the Government in Council from registration under the Socie- ties Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 47 of 1911, and its name is hereby added to the List of Exempted Societies, published in Government Notification No. 184 of 1919, under the following heading :-

Social Club (Non-Chinese).

The Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, Ordinance No. 10 of 1899, Table L, Quarantine Regulations.

It is hereby proclaimed by order of His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government in Council that the Philippine Islands are places at which an infectious or contagious disease prevails.

APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 419.-- His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. CECIL GRAHAM PERDUE to act as Deputy Superintendent of Police, and Chief Inspector JAMES KERR to act as an Assistant Superintendent of Police, during the absence on leave of Mr. PHILIP PEVERAL JOHN WODEHOUSE, C.I.E., or until further orders, with effect from the 11th September, 1919.

NOTICES.

No. 420.-It is hereby notified that the Governor-in-Council has under section 90 of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance, 1903, appointed the area hereinafter described as a sufficient and proper place for the site of a Cemetery or burial ground for Chinese Christians and that it shall henceforth and until further notice be deemed to be an authorised Cemetery and form an extension to the existing Chinese Christian Cemetery (New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 5).

DESCRIPTION.

An area adjoining New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 5 measuring approximately on the North side 140′ 0′′ and 135' 0", on the East side 387' 0", on the South side 210′ 0′′, and on the West side 290′ 0′′ and 120′ O", and containing in the whole 57,585 square feet or thereabouts and more particularly delineated and shewn on the Extension to plan deposited in the Land Office and thereon coloured red and marked New Kowloon. Inland Lot No. 5".
