NOTICE is hereby given that The Asiatic Petroleum Company, (South China), Limited, of St. Helens Court, Great St. Helens, London, England, Merchants, on the 16th day of May, 1930, applied for the registration, in Hong Kong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Mark, viz :----

NOTION is hereby given that William Meyerink and Company, who carry on business at No. 12, Pedder Street, Victoria, in the Colony of Hong Kong, has on the 26th day of May, 1930, applied for the Registration in Hong Kong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Mark :----
SHELL BRAND
in the name of the said Asiatic Petroleum Company, (South China), Limited, who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.
The Trade Mark has been used by the Ap- plicant in respect of the following goods re- spectively, in the following classes respectively,
VIZ :-
Chemical substances used in manufactures,
photography or philosophical re-search and anti-corrosives in Class 1, Chemi- cal substances used for agricultural, horticultural, veterinary and sanitary purposes in Class 2, Chemical sub- stances prepared for use in medicine and pharmacy, in Class 3, Raw or partly prepared, vegetable, animal and mineral substances used in manu- factures not included in other classes, in Class 4, Manufactures from mineral and other substances for building or decoration, in Class 17, Paper (except paper hangings), stationery and book- binding, in Class 39, Perfumery (in- cluding toilet articles, preparations Ior the teeth and hair and perfumed soap), in Class 48 and polishes, cleaning and polishing preparations and materials; transformer oils, asphalts, asphalt emulsions and other compounds for waterproofing, preservative dressings, all being goods included, in Class 50.

The Trade Mark has not hitherto been used by the Applicants but it is their intention to use same forthwith in respect of :-
Hats Caps and Bonnets, in Class 38. A facsimile of such Trade Mark can be seen at the offices of the Registrar of Trade Marke of Hong Kong and of the undersigned.
