No. 177.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has accepted with regret the resignation of Major D. MACDONALD, V.D., of his Commission in the Hong- kong Defence Corps, with effect from the 1st May, 1919.

No. 178.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to make the following appointments in the Hongkong Defence Corps, with effect from the 1st May, 1919 :-

Major G. H. WAKEMAN, V.D., to be Second in Command of the Infantry Battalion

vice Major D. MACDONALD, V.D., resigned.

Lieutenants A. E. WRIGHT and E. EVAN-JONES to be Captains.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT,

No. 179.-It is hereby notified that the following telegrams have been received from the Chief Cable Censor in London :---

Telegrams of all descriptions may now be accepted for all the Adriatic Coast, including Fiume and the towns of Spalato, Ragusa, Castelnuevo, and Cattaro.

Telegrams of all descriptions may also be accepted for places in Albania, Mon- tenegro and Jugo-Slavia (which, for the purpose of this order only, may be considered to include the territories of Bosnia, Herzegovina, Croatia and Slavonia, as they existed before the War, together with the Kingdom of Serbia, for which telegrams are already allowed).

Personal and commercial telegrams may now also be exchanged with those parts of Latvia and Lithuania not in possession of Bolsheviks. Principal towns in Latvia with which communications may be exchanged are Libau and Windau, and in Lithuania the town of Kovno.

The service in all these cases is uncertain and telegrams are liable to serious

delay.

The revised list of persons to whom articles to be exported to China may be consigned, which was published as Notification No. 28, and amended by Notifications No. 29, No. 40, No. 53, No. 66, No. 113, No. 133, No. 200, No. 241, No. 273, No. 287, No. 308, No. 348, No. 371, No. 435, No. 448, No. 474, No. 487, No. 504, No. 519, No. 529, No. 539, and No. 558 of 1917, No. 4, No. 105, No. 121, No. 127, No. 163, No. 186, No. 237, No. 252, No. 295, No. 325, No. 364, No. 375, No. 398, No. 412, No. 419, No. 447, and No. 494 of 1918, and No. 44, No. 64, No. 87, No. 107, and No. 167 of 1919, published in the Gazettes of January 26th, February 9th, 16th, and 23rd, March 23rd and 30th, May 4th and 25th, June 8th and 22nd, July 6th, August 3rd and 17th, September 28th, October 5th and 26th, November 2nd, 16th, 23rd and 30th, and December 7th and 21st, 1917, January 4th, March 15th and 28th, April 5th, May 3rd and 17th, June 21st, July 5th, August 2nd and 23rd, September 20th and 27th, October 11th, 18th, and 25th, November 15th, and December 20th, 1918, and January 24th, February 7th and 21st, March 7th, and April 11th, 1919, respectively, is hereby further amended as follows:-
