An Ordinance to amend further the Public
Health and Buildings Ordinance, 1903.
BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Health and Buildings Amendment Ordinance, 1928.
2. Paragraph 15A. of section 6 of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance, 1903, hereinafter called the principal Ordinance, is amended by the insertion at the end of that paragraph, after the word "Ordi- nance", of the words "and also any Assistant Colonial Veterinary Surgeon ".
3. Section 7 of the principal Ordinance is amended,
(a) by the repeal of the words "and remove any of such names" in the ninth and tenth lines thereof and by the substitution therefor of the words:---
"The Governor in Council may also, on any ground which he may deem sufficient remove from the list of authorized Archi- tects the name of any person whom he may consider unfit or unsuitable to perform the duties required by this Ordinance to he performed by an authorized Architect", (7) by the insertion of the following sentence after the word “made.” in the thirteenth line thereof :-
"The Governor in Council may also remove from such list the names of any Architects who have ceased to practise in the Colony."
4. Section 19 of the principal Ordinance is amended
of Ordinance as follows:-

1903, s. 19.
(a) by the insertion after the word " Surgeon
in the fourth line thereof of the words "and Assistant Colonial Veterinary Surgeons and meat and food inspectors";
(b)by the insertion of the following paragraph between the first and second paragraphs of the said section :-

"The Governor may also appoint a Second Medical Officer of Health or R Deputy Medical Officer of Health, and thereafter all the provisions of this Ordi- nance and of any regulations made there- under relating to an Assistant Medical Officer of Health shall extend to and apply to such Second Medical Officer of Health or Deputy Medical Officer of Health in the same way and in all respects and for all purposes as if he had been appointed an Assistant Medical Officer of Health under this Ordinance."
