Inspections outside the ports from 1st April. Steerage passengers must comply with the vaccination require. ments. Cabin passengers must produce a vaccina- tion certificate or be vaccinated by ships doctor or quarantine authorities.

Vessels detained at river mouth and passengers and crew vaccinated unless they can produce evidence of successful recent vaccination.

HONG KONG VOLUNTEER DEFENCE CORPS.

No. S. 366.- With reference to Government Notification No. S. 336 of the 12th October, 1928, calling for tenders for the supply and delivery of boots and clothing required by Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps Units for the year 1929, it is hereby notified that the time for receiving tenders at the Colonial Secretary's Office has been extended until Noon of Saturday, the 1st day of December, 1928.

HARBOUR MASTER'S DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 367. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in quintuplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Repairs to Steam-launch P. D. 1", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 16th day of November, 1928.

A list of work may be obtained at the Government Marine Surveyor's Office. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

The work to be carried out to the satisfaction of the Government Marine Surveyor.
