No tender will be received unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $500 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person refuses to carry out his tender, if accepted.
The successful tenderer will be required to sign a formal contract and to give security in the sum of $5,000 in cash, or a proportional part thereof if a tender is accepted in part, to be deposited with the Colonial Treasurer for the due and faithful performance of the terms of such contract.
Form of tender and further particulars may be obtained on application to the Harbour Master.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender, and shall be at liberty to accept a 'tender in whole or in part.

No. S. 357. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Approach Road to War Memorial Hospital-Mount Kellet", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 2nd day of November, 1928. The contract comprises the widening of the existing path on the East side of the Mount Kellet from Stubbs Road to Lustleigh" to 20 feet with all necessary retaining walls, drainage and other contingent work.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.

No. S. 358.--It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Explosives", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office, Banque de l'Indo-Chine, until Noon of Wednesday, the 14th day of November, 1928, for the supply and delivery of the following Stores required by this Department, during the year 1929:-

Each Tenderer must produce with his tender a receipt that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $100 (Dollars one hundred) as a pledge of the bona fides of his tender. In the event of acceptance of part only of the tender the deposit may be reduced by an amount to be determined by the Government; in no case shall any deposit be less than $50 (Dollars fifty). The said deposit shall be forfeited to the Crown should the Tenderer refuse or fail to carry out to the satisfaction of the Government, the whole or any portion of the tender which shall be accepted. The deposit, with interest thereon, shall be released on the satisfactory termination of the Contract.
