HONG KONG VOLUNTEER DEFENCE CORPS.
No. S. 336.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Boots and Clothing, H.K.V.D.C.", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Thursday, the 1st day of November, 1928, for the supply and delivery of Boots and Clothing required by this Units, for the year 1929.
Each Tenderer must produce with his tender a receipt that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of Dollars Fifty ($50) as a pledge of the bona fides of his tender, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, should the Tenderer refuse or fail to carry out the whole or any portion of the tender, which may be accepted. The deposit will be returned to any Tenderer whose tender is not accepted.
For form of tender and further particulars apply to the Adjutant, Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, Headquarters, Garden Road.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

GENERAL POST OFFICE.
No. S. 337.--It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of Clothing, etc., to the Post Office Depart- ment", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Saturday, the 27th day of October, 1928, for making up and supply of Clothing, etc., for the use of the General Post Office for the year 1929.

Tenderers must produce a receipt that they have deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $25 as a pledge of the bona fides of their tender, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if any tenderer fails or refuses to carry out his tender in the event of such tender being accepted.

FIRE DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 338. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the purchase of Nos. 4 and 5 Land Steam Fire Engines", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 2nd day of November, 1928.
No. 4 Steam Fire Engine may be seen at Yaumati Slipway and No. 5 Steam Fire Engine at Wanchai Fire Station.
Tenderers may submit tenders for either or both of these Engines.
For further particulars apply at the Office of the Superintendent Fire Brigade.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest tender and reserves the right to sell these engines together or separately.
