HARBOUR MASTER'S DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 253.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in quadruplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of coal to the Hong Kong Govern- ment", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon on Friday, 17th September, 1928, for supply of Coal to Government as from 1st January, 1929.
The quantity of coal will vary according to requirements and a price per ton should be submitted for each of the following grades:-
(a) 80% Lump Coal for Launches.
(b) 80% Lump Coal double screened for household purposes.
(e) Welsh Coal (Admiralty Standard) for Fire Floats.
(d) Hongay Coal.
The tenders are to include delivery charges to distination."
Information as to places of delivery may be obtained at Harbour Office.
No tender will be received unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $500 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person refuses to carry out his tender, if accepted.
