COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

No. 64.--Information has been received from the Military Authorities that Field Firing Practice will be carried out as follows :-

On Monday, the 28th January, and Friday, the 1st February:

From Pine Apple Pass in a North-Westerly direction against slopes of

Taimoshan.

On Mondays, the 4th and 11th February:--

From Giudrinker's Bay in an Easterly direction against Smugglers' Ridge.

On Friday and Wednesday, the 8th and 13th February :

From Gindrinker's Bay in a North-Westerly direction against lower slopes

of Taimoshan.

The actual firing will probably continue between 12 noon and 3 p.m. or thereabout.

HARBOUR MASTER'S DEPARTMENT.

No. 65.-Information has been received from the Military Authorities that Gun Practice will be carried out as under:---

On Monday, the 28th January:

From Stonecutters and Belcher F.C., in a Westerly and North-Westerly direc- tion respectively, at ranges up to 10,000 yards, commencing at 9.30 a.m., and finishing at 2 p.m.

From Pakshawan, in a North-Easterly direction, at ranges up to 6,000 yards,

commencing at 7 p.m., and finishing at 9 p.m.

On Wednesday, the 30th January: -

From Kowloon West and North Point, in a Westerly and North-Easterly direction respectively, at ranges up to 10,000 yards, commencing at 9.30 a.m., and finishing at 1.30 p.m.

On Thursday, the 31st January:-

From Stonecutters and Belcher F.C., in a Westerly and North-Westerly direc- tion respectively, at ranges up to 10,000 yards, commencing at 9.30 a.m., and finishing at 2 p.n.

If the weather is unfavourable on any of the above dates, practice will take place on the following day.

All ships, junks and other vessels are to keep clear of the ranges.
