An Ordinance to give effect to the change in the name and style of the office heretofore known as that of the Principal Civil Medical Officer.
WHEREAS the Governor has been pleased to direct that the officer hitherto known as the Principal Civil Medical Officer shall be known as and styled the Director of Medical and Sanitary Services, and it is expedient to give effect to such direction :
Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Principal Short title. Civil Medical Officer (Change of Name) Ordinance, 1928.

Objects and Reasons.
The object of this bill appears sufficiently from the preamble. The change of title is being made in con- nection with the re-organization of the Medical and Sanitary Departments.
