HONG KONG WATERS-APPROACHES TO GOVERNMENT PIERS.
At Cheung Chau Island-Removal of Buoys.
Former Notice.-No. 28/28 of the 9th June, 1928, hereby cancelled.
Details.--The two red conical buoys have been removed and will not be replaced.
Directions.-No vessel of any description shall be allowed to anchor in, or otherwise
obstruct, the direct approaches to the Government Pier.

It is hereby notified that during the year ending 31st December, 1941, examinations for Certificates of Competency as Masters, Mates and Engineers will be held on the following dates:-

Candidates for examinations for Certificates of Competency for Masters and Mates should present their papers to the Examiner at the Harbour Office at 10 a.m. on the Saturday preceding the examination.
Candidates for examination for Certificates of Competency for 1st and 2nd Class Engineers should present their papers to the Examiner at the Principal Surveyor of Ships' Office, at 9.30 a.m. at least three days before the examination.
