NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
1. Light gun practice will take place between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight on 9th December, 1940.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
2. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 10th December, 1940:—
(a) Firing practice by H.M. Royal Navy between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and
4.00 p.m.
Firing Area "A" will be affected.
Alternative date--11th December, 1910.
(b) Heavy gun firing practice between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
Firing Area "C" will be affected.
Alternative date-11th December, 1940.
(c) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.
Firing Areas "C" and "D" will be affected.
Alternative date-11th December, 1940.
(d) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00
midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
3. Light gun firing practice will take place between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight on 11th December, 1940.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
4. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 12th December, 1940:-
(a) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
Firing Areas"A", "B" and "C" will be affected.
(b) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00
midnight.

5. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 13th December, 1940:-
(a) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
Firing Area "C" will be affected.
(b) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00
midnight.
Firing Areas “D" and "E" will be affected.
6. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
