No. S. 562.--It is hereby notified that the following Sale of Crown Land by Public Auction will be held at the District Office, Tai Po, at 11.30 a.m., on Tuesday, the 24th day of December, 1940.
The Lot is sold for the term of seventy-five years from the 1st day of July, 1898, with the right of renewal for a further term of 24 years less the last 3 days at a re- assessed Crown Rent the date of Sale as Paddocks for grazing subject to the General Conditions of Sale published in Government Notification No. 364 of 1934, as amended by Government Notification No. 50 of 1940, and Special Condition No. 1 (c), in the above-mentioned Government Notification, and further subject to Special Condition hereunder specified.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS.
1. Reasonable facilities for access to the graves on the Lot shall be given at the Ch'ing Ming and Ch'ung Yeung Festivals to the persons entitled, in the opinion of the District Officer, to worship at the graves.
2. No cultivation will be allowed within 15 feet of the existing graves.
3. The graves on the Lot shall not be removed without the written permission of the District Officer and the payment of compensation, to be assessed by the District Officer, to the person nominated by him.
4. The Purchaser shall make his own arrangements for the supply of water to the Lot.
5. The Purchaser shall within two months of the date of sale construct to the District Officer's satisfaction a path not less than ten feet wide over the route indicated by red chain line on a plan marked Z, retained in the District Office, Tai Po, signed by the District Officer and dated the 2nd of September, 1940.
6. If any damage or obstruction is caused to any stream course or waterway adjoining the Lot by the Purchaser, his servants or agents, the same shall be made good by Government at the cost of the Purchaser and the amount due in respect thereof shall be payable by the Purchaser on demand.
7. The Purchaser must notify the Superintendent of the Botanical and Forestry Department in the event of his requiring the removal of any trees from the Lot.
8. The Purchaser shall provide fly-proof stables and manure silos to the satisfaction of the Honourable Director of Medical Services.
9. All horse dung shall be collected daily and deposited in the manure silos. 10. The Purchaser shall not without the previous consent of the Governor in writing erect on the Lot any domestic premises or any other building except such as may be required for the use of the Lot as grazing paddocks and for stabling. Provided always that additional Crown rent at the rate appropriate to building land will be payable in respect of all buildings.
