URBAN COUNCIL OFFICE.

No. S.542.–In accordance with section 53 of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, Ordinance No. 15 of 1935, it is hereby notified that the Government proposes to erect temporary latrines on the following sites :-

(1) Crown Land adjoining Lot No. 2153 S.D. I in Po Kong Village.

(2) Crown Land behind Lot No. 7174 S.D. l in Chuk Un Village.

(3) Crown Land near Lot No. 5798 S.D. 1 in Sheung Sha Po Village (near No.

-51).

(4) Crown Land at rear of house No. 68, Ngau Chi Wan Village (rear of Lots

Nos. 1739 and 1677).

(5) Crown Land inside Walled City between Southern and Eastern Gates.

If any owner or occupier in the immediate vicinity of such sites object to such

erections, the objection must be sent in writing to the Colonial Secretary so as to reach his office not later than Friday, the 6th day of December, 1940.

No. 8. 543.-It is hereby notified that the following Sales of Crown Land by Public Auction will be held at the District Office, South, Queen's Building, 2nd floor, Hong Kong at 11 a.m., on Friday, the 29th day of November, 1940.

The Lots are sold for the term of seventy-five years from the 1st day of July, 1898, with the right of renewal for a further term of 24 years less 3 days at a re-assessed Crown Rent, Serial Nos. 1 and 2 as Building Lots, and Serial Nos. 3 to 8 as Agricultural Lots, subject to the General Conditions of Sale published in Government Notification No. 364 of 1934, as amended by Government Notification No. 50 of 1940. Serial Nos. 1 and 2 are further subject to Special Conditions Nos. 2 (a) and (b), and Serial Nos. 3 to 8 are further subject to Special Conditions Nos. 1 (a) and (b), in the above Government Notification.

The amount to be spent on both building lots in Serial Nos. 1 and 2 in rateable improvements under the General Condition No. 5 is $6,000.
