OTICE is hereby given that The Kiu

Foo Chemical Manufacturing Co., Ltd. of 250 Burkill Road, Shanghai, China, have on the 29th day of August. 1940, applied for the registration in Hong Kong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Mark:-

in the name of The Kiu Feo Chemical Manu-

facturing Co., Ltd., who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.

The Trade Mark has been used by the Applicants in respect of substances used as food or ingredients in food excluding ediblo oils and edible fats in Class 42.

The registration of this Trade Mark shall give no right to the exclusive use of the

Chinese characters 樂口福

pearing in the rade Mark.

in the name of Fei Fung Face Powder Factory

who claim to be the proprietors thereof.

The trade mark has been used by the Ap- plicants since 1926 in respect of Face Powder

and other perfumery in Class 48.

In use upon goods covered by the specification

other than face powder, the mark will be varied

by the substitution of the name of such goods for the Chinese characters

meaning "face powder ”.

Hse Ping Zia, Mee Jin Kong, Hoshang, Amoy in the Province of Fukin in the Republic of China and of No. 9, Belcher's Street, Victoria in the Colony of Hong Kong, has by 6 separate Applications all dated the 15th day of August 1940, applied for registration in Hong Kong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Marks :—

The above trade marks Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 have not hitherto been used by the Appl cants but it is their intention so to use the same forthwith in respect of Joss-sticks in Class 50.

Trade mark No. 5, has been used by the Applicants in respect of Joss-sticks in Class 50 since 1928.

Trade Mark No. 6, has not hitherto been used by the Applicants but it is their intention so to use the same forthwith in respect of Substances used as food in Class 42.

The Registration of the "Hsi Tien", the "Chu Ling" and the 'Roses" marks shall give no right to the exclusive use of the Incense Burner device.
