Application for Registration of a Trade Mark.

NOTICE is hereby given that Jardine Matheson and Company Limited, and Ellis Hayim and Frank Garside Harrison trading as Ewo Brewery Company at 27 The Bund, Shanghai, in the Republic of China have on the 16th day of June, 138, applied for the registration in Hong Kong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Mark :---

SHANGHAI CHINA

in the name of Jardine Matheson and Company Limited, and Ellis Hayim and Frank Garside Harrison trading as Ewo Brewery Company, who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.

The Trade Mark has been used by the Applicants in respect of :-

(1) Chemical substances prepared for use in medicine and

pharmacy in Class 3, and

(2) Fermented liquors and spirits in Class 43.

The Applicants disclaim the right to the exclusive use of the word “Maltonic" and the Chinese characters “##' appearing in the

Trade Mark.

The said Trade Mark is associated with Trade Mark No. 233 of 1938 and in each class one with the other.

A facsimile of such Trade Mark can be seen at the offices of the Registrar of Trade Marks of Hong Kong, and of the undersigned.
