No. S. 455.-It is hereby notified that the following Letting of Crown Land by Public Auction will be held at the District Office, Tai Po, at 11.30 a.m., on Tuesday, the 15th day of October, 1940.

The Lots are to be let for the term of one year from the 1st day of July, 1940, Serial No. I as a Play Ground, Serial No. 2 as an Orchard Lot and Serial Nos. 3 to 6 as Agricultural Lots. Serial Nos. 1 and 2 are further subject to the Special Conditions hereunder specified:

SPECIAL CONDITIONS TO SERIAL No. 1.

1. Annual application shall be made for renewal of this permit and renewal shall be at the discretion of the District Officer.

2. The area shall not be used for any other purpose than a recreation ground.

3. The District Officer may at any time cancel this permission to use the whole or any portion of the said area.

4. Only strictly temporary structures to be approved by the District Officer shall be erected on the said area.

5. In the event of withdrawal or refusal to renew the permit for the whole or any portion of the said area no compensation whatever shall be granted to the permittee for structures or improvements thereon, and the permittee shall restore the ground to its original condition to the satisfaction of the District Officer.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS TO SERIAL No. 2.

1. Reasonable facilities for access to the grave on the lot shall be given at the Ching Ming and Chung Yeung Festivals to the persons entitled, in the opinion of the District Officer, to worship at the grave.

2. No trees shall be planted within 15 feet of the existing grave.

3. The permittee shall pay the sum of $61.45 to the licensee of Forestry Lot No 46 as compensation for pine trees growing on the lot.
