COLONIAL. SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 425.-It is hereby notified that information has been received from the Director, League of Nations, Eastern Bureau, Singapore, to the effect that Hong Kong has been declared infected on account of cholera by the Government of the Straits Settlements and the Federated Malay States.
All cabin passengers may be kept under surveillance for a period not exceeding five days reckoning from the day of departure from Hong Kong unless they produce certificates signed or counter-signed by an official medical officer, showing that inocula- tion had been performed within less than six months and more than six days before arrival.
Deck passengers will be kept under observation for a period not exceeding five days reckoning from the day of departure from Hong Kong or from the day the deck passengers have been isolated from a case of cholera.
Ships and aircraft bringing passengers subject to surveillance will be liable to inconvenience and delay.
