NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 2nd September, 1940:-

(a) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m and 12.00

midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E will be affected.

2. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 3rd September, 1940:—

(a) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. Firing Area "C" will be affected.

(b) Anti-Aircraft firing practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.

in the Western Area of the Island.

3. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 4th September, 1940:-

midnight.

(a) Anti-Aircraft firing practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.

in the Western Area of the Island.

(b) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

4. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 5th September, 1940:-

(a) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. Firing Areas"A" and "B" will be affected.

Alternative date-6th September, 1940.

(b) Anti-Aircraft firing practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.

in the Western Area of the Island.

5. Light gun firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight on 6th September, 1940.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

6. Firing practice with Blank Gun Ammunition will be carried out in the SAI WAN-TYTAM GAP Area between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon on 6th September, 1940.

7. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
