No. S. 396.-Tenders are invited for the purchase of the old S.L. “H.D. 4".

The launch will be sold as she lies at the Government Slipway, Yaumati, complete with engine and boiler and may be seen on application to the Superintending Engineer, Yaumati.

The approximate dimensions of the launch are as follows:-

Sealed tenders in triplicate which should be marked "Tender for the purchase of S.L. "H.D. 4", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 3rd day of September, 1940.

Each Tenderer must produce with his tender a receipt that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $100 (dollars one hundred) as a pledge of the Bona fides of his tender. The said deposit shall be forfeited to the Crown should the tenderer refuse or fail to carry out to the satisfaction of the Government any tender which shall be accepted.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.

No. 8. 397.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Extensions to Wireless Transmitter Station Cape D'Aguilar", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 3rd day of September, 1940. The work consists of extensions to the existing build- ing in brick and concrete.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $500 with the Accountant-General.

Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
