HARBOUR DEPARTMENT.

Tenders for the supply of one or two 90′ steel Diesel engined launches

for the Harbour Department.

No. S. 348.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate which should be clearly marked "Tenders for the supply of 90′ Steel Diesel engined launches will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until noon of Tuesday, the 6th day of August, 1940.

The launch is to be constructed in accordance with a plan and a specification which may be obtained at the Office of the Principal Surveyor of Ships, Harbour Office. A sum of $500 is required to be deposited with the Accountant-General and the plan and specification will be available on production of his receipt for the above amount. The deposit will be released on the return of the plan and specification and the submission of a bona-fide tender.

The launch and equipment are to be supplied of first quality material and work- manship to the entire satisfaction of the Harbour Master, Harbour Office.

Tenderers are to state the earliest date of delivery which they are required to guarantee under the penalty of deduction from the contract price of $300 for each and every subsequent day beyond the contract delivery date. Tenderers are required to state in their tenders alternative prices for constructing one or two launches, also their respective earliest dates of delivery.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
