3. Gate Vessels will display the usual "Gate Open" Signals as pres- cribed by Notice to Mariners No. 181/1939 of the 17th October, 1939, and all vessels are to pass through the gate and between these buoys. Attention is invited to Notice to Mariners No. 38/1940 of the 2nd February, 1940.

Note:-Examination launches will direct traffic while the Gate
Vessels are being moved.
(a) Vessels departing on the ebb stream should haul round to about E.N.E. when clear of Lyemun Point, and await examination in Junk Bay.
(b) Vessels arriving on the ebb stream are to stem the tide when through the Gate and wait until vessels departing are clear of Lyemun Pass.
5. Junks and other small craft are to use the gap at the South West end
of the boom close off Kei Pi Ha Point.
Note:-Examination launches will assist in directing traffic.
Remarks. Notices to Mariners No. 139/1940 of the 18th June, 1940, and No.
162/1939 of the 25th September, 1939, are hereby cancelled.

HONG KONG NOTICES TO MARINERS.
The attention of Mariners, Shipowners and all others concerned is drawn to the necessity for strict observance of Hong Kong Notices to Mariners as issued locally.
2. Transposed forms of Local Notices issued from other sources may differ in important detail from those published by the Harbour Office, and where discrepancies occur the Hong Kong Notice should invariably be followed.

SINGAPORE ROADS-DIVING OPERATIONS.
Position.-7.5 cables S.E. of the Outer Shoal Beacon.
Details.-Diving operations over a small area will be in progress until further
notice.
Remarks.- All ships using the Eastern Entrance to Singapore are to proceed as
slowly as possible consistent with safety.
