(a) 059° distant 2,850 feet.
(b) 050° distant 10,500 feet
from Todak Beacon.

No. 1024.--It is hereby notified for general information that, pursuant to section 5 of the Criminal Procedure Ordinance, 1899, His Honour the Chief Justice has ordered that the next Criminal Sessions for the despatch of the business of the Court shall be held on Friday, the 17th day of November, 1939, at 9.30 o'clock in the forenoon.

No. S. 569.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the maintenance and repair of and alterations and additions to Government Buildings", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 13th day of November, 1939, for such works as may be ordered in the maintenance, repair, alterations and additions to Government Buildings in the Colony of Hong Kong, Kowloon and New Territories during the year 1940.
As securities for the proper performance of the works under these Contracts, the successful tenderers will be required to deposit, in cash, with the Accountant-General the sums of :-
$2,000 for Central District;
$1,000 for Outside District;
$1,000 for New Territories District.
