URBAN COUNCIL OFFICE.

No. 8.603.-In accordance with section 53 of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, Ordinance No. 15 of 1935, it is hereby notified that the Government proposes to erect a Public Dry Latrine on a site approximately 250 feet west of Shaukiwan Inland Lot No. 478, Ah Kung Ngam.

If any owner or occupier in the immediate vicinity of such site objects to such erection, the objection must be sent in writing to the Colonial Secretary so as to reach his office not later than Friday, the 1st day of December, 1939.

NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE

DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. Anti-aircraft firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on 14th, 15th and 16th November, 1939.

Firing Area“B”will be affected.

2. Anti-aircraft firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12 midnight on 15th November, 1939.

Alternative date--16th November, 1939.

Firing Area“B”will be affected.

3. Light anti-aircraft gun practice will be carried out between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 2 p.m. on 13th and 17th November, 1939.

Alternative date-18th November, 1939.

Firing Area“B” will be affected.

4. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing area affected, or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
