Cross Harbour Pipe Line.
As from the 17th October, and until further notice, pipe lifting will be carried out by a crane lighter and divers will work from diving punts within an area bounded by the following positions :--
1.
22° 17' 19" N.
114° 9' 48" E.
2.
22° 17′ 221" N.
114° 9′ 45" E.
3.
22° 17′ 29" N.
114° 10' 001" E.
4.
22° 17' 321" N.
114° 9′ 57 E.

The crane lighter will display by day a red flag and by night a green light over a white light.
Masters of all passing vessels are warned to keep well clear of these craft and to proceed as slow as possible compatible with the safety of their vessels.
Notice to Mariners No. 166/1939 will be cancelled on the above coming into force.

MEDICAL DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 489.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in quintuplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Biological Products, Medical Department Con- tract", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 30th day of October, 1939, for the supply of Biological Products, required locally by the Medical Department, for the period from the first of January, 1940 to the 31st March, 1941 inclusive.
No tender will be considered, unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited with the Accountant-General the sum of $50, as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person shall refuse or be unable to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.
The successful tenderer will be required to sign an agreement and to give a bond to the satisfaction of the Government in the sum of $1,000 for the due fulfilment of the agreement.
The Contractor will be required to deliver the supplies to all or any of the Govern- ment hospitals and institutions as required by the Director of Medical Services.
Except where otherwise stated, the Contractor will be required to deliver supplies at the Central Medical Store.
The charges stated by the Contractor in his tender shall include the cost of the delivery of all supplies, etc., and no additional charge shall be made for such delivery.
