These enactments, as renumbered, are further amended as follows.
(4) Section 2-in paragraph (c) of sub-section
(1)-
(i) the words "firm or" before "person" in the fourth line are repealed;
(ii) the words "but for the existence of a state of war" are substituted for "had a state of war not existed" in the eighth line.
(5) Section 4-(i) in sub-section (2)—
(a) the words "rights of any person' are substituted for "rights of any kind whatsoever within the Colony of any person whomsoever" in the eleventh and twelfth lines:
(b) the following is substituted for the proviso-
"Provided that it shall be lawful for the Governor in Council in his absolute dis- cretion to entertain and give effect to any moral claim to or in respect of any such property or proceeds.”
(ii) the following sub-section is substi- tuted for sub-section (6)-
"(6) This section shall apply to a person Attempts. who attempts, or directly or indirectly offers etc.

or proposes or agrees, to trade with the 5 & 6 Gen. 5. enemy, in like manner as it applies to a s. 10 (1). person who so trades.'
(iii) in sub-sections (7) and (8) the words "within the meaning of this Ordinance” in the last two lines are repealed.
(6) Section 8-(i) in paragraph (c) of sub- section (1) the words "enter and" are inserted before "search" in the second line;
(ii) in sub-section (2)-
(a) the word "appears" is substituted for "shall appear" in the second line;
(b) the words "Commissioner of Police or any officer of police not below the rank of Assistant Superintendent" are sub- stituted for "Commissioner of Police or
