(ii) sub-section (5) is amended by the repeal of the word and at the end of paragraph (a);
(iii) sub-section (9) is amended by the substitution-

(a) of the words
by any Ordinance for the naturalization of British subjects within this Colony for the words and figures as a British subject within the Colony whose name ap- pears in the Schedule to the Natural- ized Persons Ordinance, 1901," in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth lines;

(b) of the word has for the words "shall have" in the fourteenth line.
(2) Section 9, as enacted by Ordinance No. 1 of 1928-sub-section (1) is amended by the
substitution—
(a) of the words "under any Ordinance for the naturalization of persons as British subjects within this Colony" for the words and figures
"within the Colony under this Ordinance, or whose name appears in the Schedule to the Naturalized Persons Ordin- ance, 1901,' in the second, third, fourth and fifth lines;
(b) of the word thenceforth for the word henceforth in the ninth line.

(1) Section 2 is amended by the insertion in paragraph (c) of the words shop or office assistant, immediately after the words
trading junk,' in the fifth line.

(2) Section 4 is amended by the substitution-
"
"
(i) in the first three lines, of the words Every contract of service (except in the case of hire by the day, job or journey) shall, until the contrary is proved be deem- સૂર્યો for the words In the absence of any agreement in writing to the contrary, every contract of service (except in the case of hire by the day, job or journey) shall be deemed ";
(ii) in the sixth line, of the word for the words shall be ".

(3) Sections 14, 15, 19, 20 and 22 are renum- bered as sections 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 respectively.
(4) Section 23 is repealed.
(5) Sections 24, 25 and 26 are renumbered as
sections 18, 19 and 20 respectively.
(6) Section 20, as renumbered, is amended--
(i) by the repeal of the word "contained" in the first line;
