On the 21st July, Master of S.S. Shinhwa reports sighting a line of moored mines. awash on a line joining Clam Island Lat. 25° 15' N., Long. 119° 24′ E. and Lam Point (Lam Yit Island) and another line of mines parallel to the first and about 300 yards distant.
This cancels Notice to Mariners No. 97/1939.

The Japanese Naval authorities at Shanghai have notified the following minefields.
In the table below the numbered references to the minefields are :-
(1) The centre of the minefield.
(2) The centre line of the minefield.
(3) The breadth of the minefield at the centre.
(4) The shape of the minefield.
A.-Entrance to Tai Sami Inlet (or Swabue or Shan I).
(1) 22 degrees 455 minutes North, 115 degrees 18:5 minutes East.
(2) Line joining Tai Sami Head and position on coast 12 miles 080 degrees
from Club Point.
(3) 2.2 miles.
(4) Ellipse.
B. Entrance to Chauan Bay (or Chaoan-Ilsien).
(1) 23 degrees 35'6 minutes North, 117 degrees 17 minutes East.
(2) Line joining Chauan Head and position on coast 44 miles 295 degrees
from Chauan Point.
(3) 1.7 miles.
(4) Ellipse.
C.--Entrance to Tongsang Harbour (or Tungshan).
(1) 23 degrees 43-25 minutes North, 117 degrees 33.25 minutes East.
(2) Line joining Thunder Head and position on coast 32 miles 270 degrees
from Thunder Head.
(3) 1.5 miles.
(4) Ellipse.
