NOTICES TO MARINERS.

No. 108/1939.

Mines and other obstacles have been laid by the Japanese as follows:-

(1) Approaches to the River Min Lat. 26° 6' N., Long. 119° 45′ E.

The eastern section of the Woga Channel and near the Central buoy in

the eastern section of the Min River entra nce.

(2) Wenchow Bay Lat. 27° 55′ N., Long, 191° 7' E.

The eastern section of Shatou Channel and Central section of South

Passage.

No. 109/1939.

(1) It has been reported that the entrances to WENCHOW RIVER are definitely blocked by sunken junks full of stones which no ship can pass.

(2) Meichen Sound approx. Lat. 25° N., Long. 119° E. A reported rumour is that Chinese pirate junks equipped with machine guns may be operating in the neighbour- hood of Meichen Sound.

MIN RIVER ENTRANCE.

It has been reported that the entrance Buoy has been removed to the vicinity of BISBEE ROCK and central Buoy about 5 cables Southward of charted position.
