OBSTRUCTIONS IN.

Position. Lat. 1° 15′ N., Long. 103° 51′ E. (approx.).

Date.-Near future.

Details. Obstructions will be laid as follows:

(1) From No. 18 Beacon

094 degrees 450 feet. 068 degrees 1,000 feet. 060 degrees 2.6 cables.

(2) From Southern extremity of

East Wharf...

066 degrees 120 feet.

Remarks.-All vessels are to keep clear of these obstructions.

On 25th July mines are reported in the vicinity of

C. Dix, Master Attendant,

Straits Settlements.

According to notifications by Japanese through Consular Authorities or in Press,

the following Ports have been mined:-

SWABUE, CHAUAN BAY, TONGSANG, CHUANCHOW,

HUNGHWA, SHARP PEAK, LOYUAN, SANTUAO,

SHACHENG (NAMKWAN), WENCHOW. Not known if Mines have been laid

in MIN RIVER entrance channel.
