PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 341.--It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Re-conditioning 18" dia. Cross Harbour Main", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 31st day of July, 1939. The work consists of cleaning, cutting to lengths, and welding of corroded parts of the 18" dia. Harbour Main and the supply and welding of new Mild Steel Collars.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $1,000 with the Accountant-General.

Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
