ORDINANCE No. 13 of 1935. (PUBLIC HEALTH [FOOD]).
By virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5 and 6 of the Public Health (Food) Ordinance, 1935, the Urban Council makes the following amendments to the by-laws in the schedule to the said Ordinance under the heading "Sale of Milk generally and Dairies and Milk Shops as published in Government Notification No. 379 in the Government Gazette of the 13th May, 1938.

1. In the 3rd line of by-law 1A the words are added after the word milk at the beginning of the line, and the words "or pasteurized cream." are added after the word milk at the end of the line.
2. The following proviso is added immediately after the 2nd paragraph of by-law 1A,
CC Provided that no milk or cream shall be deemed pasteurized if it shall contain on sample taken at any time—
(a) before pasteurization, more than 200,000 bacteria per cubic centimeter and/or any Bacillus coli communis in one-thousandth (0·001) of a cubic centimeter or,
(b) after pasteurization, and before or during delivery for sale, more than 30,000 bacteria per cubic centimeter and/or any Bacillus coli communis in one-tenth (0·1) of a cubic centimeter."
3. These amendments shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 1940.
