8. Essential Commodities Reserves Bill.-The Attorney General moved the Second reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to provide for the maintenance of reserve stocks of commodities which would be essential for the vital needs of the community during war or other public emergency; for the registration of importers of such commodities and for purposes incidental to or connected with the matters aforesaid.”

The Financial Secretary seconded.

Question-put and agreed to.

Bill read a second time.

Council in Committee on the Bill.

On Council resuming, the Attorney General reported that the Bill had passed through Committee without amendment, and moved that it be read a third time.

Question-put and agreed to.

Bill read a third time and passed.

ADJOURNMENT.

9. The Council then adjourned until Thursday, the 9th day of November, 1939,

at 2.30 p.m.
