No. 793.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under section 9 of the regulations of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force, to appoint DENIS HEnry Hazell, Esquire, to be an Acting Sub-Licutenant in the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force, with effect from 2nd September, 1939.

No. 794. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under section 9 of the regulations of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force, to appoint The Reverend CHARLES STRONG to be an Acting Chaplain in the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force, with effect from 12th May, 1939.

No. 795.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. J. W. FITZGERALD, Acting Chief Warder, to be Acting Superintendent of Hong Kong Prison, with effect from 9th September, 1939, until further notice.

No. 796. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Mr. KENNETH JOHN ATTWELL, B.A., to be a Master, Education Department, with effect from 5th September, 1939.

14th September, 1939.

No. 797. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the Reverend. JAMES ROBERT HIGGS to be a Member of the Board of Education for a further period of two years, with effect from the 9th August, 1939.

No. 798. It is hereby notified that during the absence of Mr. JUAN RIVERA REYES, Consul-General for Panama at Hong Kong, Mr. FREDERICO A. XAVIER, Consul for the Republics of Dominica, Nicaragua and El Savador, will be in charge of the Pana- manian Consulate-General, as Acting Consul, until further notice.
