An Ordinance to amend the Births and Deaths Registration

Ordinance, 1934.

BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Births and Deaths Registration Amendment Ordinance, 1939.

2. Section 9 of the Births and Deaths Registration Ordin- ance, 1934, is amended-

(i) in sub-section (2) thereof by the repeal of the words "without any fee and by the substitution therefor of the words "on payment by the informant of a fee of one dollar''. (ii) in sub-section (3) thereof by the insertion after the words "Registrar General" of the words " and then only on payment by the informant of a fee of ten dollars
