PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS provision was made by the Ordinances and Regulations of Hong Kong (1937 edition) Orilinance, 1936, Ordinance No. 51 of 1936, for the preparation of a new edition of the Ordinances and a new edition of the Regulations of the Colony :

AND WHEREAS the Second Volume of the said edition of the Regulations of the Colony is now completed and has been published:

AND WHEREAS it is provided in section 9 of the said Ordinance No. 51 of 1936 that the volumes of the Regulations of Hong Kong (1937 edition) shall be laid before the Legis- lative Council for approval as soon as conveniently may be after the printing of each volume and such approval, if given, shall be notified by proclamation of the Governor :

NOW THEREFORE I, Sir GEOFFRY ALEXANDER STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, Knight Commander of the Most Dis- tinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, do hereby PROCLAIM that the said Second Volume of the said edition of the Regulations of the Colony was laid before the Legis- lative Council on the 14th day of September, 1939, and was approved by the said Council.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony of Hong Kong this 14th day of September, 1939.
