Order.

I, Eric William Hamilton, by virtue of the powers vested in me under the Defence Regulations, 1939, with the consent of His Excellency the Governor, hereby prohibit the export of all cargo except by licence under my hand to Macao from noon on 4th September until noon on 6th September, 1939.

Order.

WHEREAS, by section 7 of the Air Navigation Act, 1920, as applied to this Colony with certain adaptations and modifications by the Colonial Air Navigation (Application of Acts) Order, 1937, published in the Gazette of 27th August, 1937, as Government Notification 602, certain powers in time of war, whether actual or imminent, or of great national emergency, are conferred upon the Governor :

NOW I, Sir GEOFFRY ALEXANDER STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice- Admiral of the same, by virtue and in exercise of the powers SO vested in me, of the powers conferred by Defence Regulation 42 and of all other powers thereto me enabling. HEREBY ORDER AND DIRECT that until my further order in that behalf—-

1. The navigation of civil aircraft of every description is prohibited except in accordance with the following con-

ditions-

(a) no aircraft shall fly between sunset and sunrise except with permission granted by or on behalf of the Governor;

(b) every aircraft shall clearly and prominently display the nationality, registration and other marks prescribed for that aircraft ;

(e)—(i) no aircraft shall enter or leave the Colony except by such routes and within such boundaries as

may he prescribed by or on behalf of the Director of Air Services:

(ii) except with permission given by or on behalf of the Director of Air Services no aircraft shall leave the ground nor, except in emergency, alight in this Colony:
