THE BUILDINGS ORDINANCE. 1935.

No. 661.--Ilis Excellency the Governor in Council has been pleased to direct under section 5 of the Buildings Ordinance, 1935, Ordinance No. 18 of 1935, that the name of Mr. LESLIE BLAIR, A.M. Inst. C.E., be added to the List of Authorized Architects published in Government Notification No. 474 of the 8th May, 1939.

No. 662.--lis Majesty the KING has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to the following Ordinances :—

Ordinance No. 9 of 1939.-An Ordinance to make better provision for the

prevention and punishment of endeavours to seduce members of His Majesty's forces, or any member of any local Naval, Military or Police force, corps or reserve, from their duty, or from their allegiance to Ilis Majesty.

Ordinance No. 21 of 1939. —An Ordinance to extend for a further period the powers of the Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation and the Mercantile Bank of India Limited to make, issue, re-issue and circulate

notes.

Ordinance No. 26 of 1939.--An Ordinance to amend the Rating Ordinance,
