The Honourable the Colonial Secretary, (Mr. WILLIAM JAMES CARRIE, Acting), the Honourable the Secretary for Chinese Affairs, (Mr. HENRY ROBERT BUTTERS, Acting), the Honourable Mr. ALEXANDER BRUCE PURVES, (Acting Director of Public Works), and the Honourable Mr. Li TSE-FONG took the Oath of Allegiance or made affirmation and assumed their seats as Members of the Council.
