No. 592.-His Excellency the Governor in Council has been pleased to direct under section 5 of the Buildings Ordinance, 1935, Ordinance No. 18 of 1935, that the name of Mr. Kuo YUAN-нST be added to the List of Authorized Architects published in Government Notification No. 474 of the 8th May, 1939.

(ADVERTISEMENTS
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Advertisements Regulation Ordinance, 1912, as amended by the Advertisements Regulation Amendment Ordinance, 1937, the Governor in Council makes the undermentioned further additions to the regulations set forth under the heading "Advertisements Regulation " on pages 615 and 616 of the Regulations of Hong Kong, 1844-1925, and in Government Notifications Nos. 494 of 1932 and 675 of 1933 :-
1. The following regulation is added after Regulation 7A:
7B. On the hoisting of the No. 5 or any typhoon signal above that number, electric current supplying the trans- formers of neon signs attached to the outside of any building must be cut off and such current must remain cut off so long as any of the said signals remain hoisted.
2. A further definition is added after paragraph (c) of Regulation 11.
'Neon Sign means any arrangement of glass tubing charged with neon, argon, helium or other inert gas which when subjected to electrical pressure gives a bright glow, whether in the form of letters, characters, model, device, border or outline, designed to attract public attention to any building or place on or in which it may be affixed.
