ORDINANCE No. 10 of 1899.

(MERCHANT SHIPPING).

By virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 25 (4) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, the Governor in Council amends the regulations made under the said Ordinance and contained in Table X at pages 389 to 391 of the Regulations of Hong Kong (1937 Edition) as follows:-

1. Regulation 3 under the heading "B.-Yaumati Bay" is rescinded and the following substituted therefor :-

3. A fairway shall be kept clear from the southern entrance of the Yaumati Typhoon Shelter to the piers or wharves on the eastern side of the said shelter as far north as the Mong Kok Ferry Pier and thence from the Mong Kok Ferry Pier to the northern entrance of the Yaumati Typhoon Shelter. A fairway shall also be kept clear on the western side extending from the northern entrance to the southern entrance of the Yaumati Typhoon Shelter.

No vessel shall anchor, secure or lie in such a position as to obstruct the free access of other vessels using these fairways except during a typhoon when such fairways may be occupied by vessels taking shelter, due regard being paid to the provision of Regulation 2 of these Regulations.

2. Regulation 4 under the same heading is rescinded and the following substituted therefor :---

4. The space to the southward and eastward of a line drawn from the east side of the southern entrance to Public Square Street Pier is reserved for the use of Government craft and shall not be used by any other vessels.
