No. 480.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve that Captain ALISTAIR MACKENZIE be allowed to resign his commission in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 23rd May, 1939.

No. 481.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under the provisions of section 6 of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935. (Ordinance No. 15 of 1935) as amended by Ordinance No. 7 of 1937, specially to appoint LAW KWONG-FU, Malarial Inspector, for the work of mosquito elimination, and to have the powers of officers of the Sanitary Department under the said Ordinance.

No. 482.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under section 3 (3) of the Vaccination Ordinance, 1923. Ordinance No. 12 of 1923, to cancel the appointment of Miss TSANG SHUK-CHING () to act as a Public Vaccinator, which was published in Government Notification No. 225 of the 22nd March, 1939, with effect from 3rd June, 1939.

No. 484.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JoHN LEIGH HUNT, B Sc., A.M.I.C.E., to be a Member of the Authorized Architects Consulting Committee, vice Mr. REGINALD MORTON, B. Eng., A.M. Inst. C.E., resigned.

No. 485.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve the following appointment in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps. with effect from 31st May, 1939:-
Dr. ALBERTO MARIA RODRIGUES, M.B., B.S., to be Lieutenant.
