No. 437. It is hereby notified that Mr. JACK COOPER FITZ-HENRY resumed duty, as Superintendent, Fire Brigade, with effect from the 30th May, 1939.

1st June, 1939.

No. 438.-Under section 14 (1) of the Gunpowder and Fireworks Ordinance No. 14 of 1901, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JACK COOPER FITZ-HENRY, Superintendent Fire Brigade, to be a Government Inspector in addition to his other duties, with effect from the 30th April, 1939.

1st June, 1939.

No. 439.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JOHN KEITH Bousfield, provisionally, and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council, in the place of Mr. ANDREW LUSK SHIELDS, who is temporarily absent from the Colony, with effect from 27th May, 1939.

2nd June, 1939.

No. 440. It is hereby notified that, as from the 1st of June, 1939, and until further notice, Senhor FRANCISCO PAULO DE VASCONCELOS SOARES will be Acting Consul in charge of the Portuguese Consulate.
