Order under section 75 (8) of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, Ordinance No. 15 of 1935, made by the Colonial Secretary on the 25th day of May, 1939.

WHEREAS I, NORMAN LOCKHART SMITH, Esquire, Com- panion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Colonial Secretary of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies, deem it expedient for the execution of a public purpose to remove all graves in the Tung Wah Hospital Cemetery at Kai Lung Wan in which bodies were buried during the year 1930, NOW, I, by this Order under my hand, by virtue of the power in that behalf vested in me by section 75 (8) of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, DO HEREBY ORDER AND DIRECT that the said graves be removed to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works by the Sanitary Department and that the remains removed from such graves shall be re-interred or disposed of in such manner as the Secretary for Chinese Affairs in consultation with the Chairman, Urban Council, and the Board of Direction of the Tung Wah Hospital shall think fit and that all reasonable expenses in connexion with such removal, re-interment and disposal shall be defrayed out of the public revenue of the Colony.

No. 424.-It is hereby notified that the valuation lists for Hong Kong, (including Aplichau), Kowloon and New Kowloon for the year 1939-1940 will be open to inspection at the Treasury for twenty-one days commencing on Friday, 2nd June, 1939.
