(1938 Supplementary) Appropriation Bill.--The Financial Secretary addressed. the Council and moved the First reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to authorize the Appropriation of a Supplementary sum of three million four hundred and twenty-six thousand two hundred and forty-three dollars and forty-eight cents to defray the charges of the year 1938."

The Colonial Secretary seconded.

7. Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Amendment Bill.-The Attorney General addressed the Council and moved the First reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to amend the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ordinance, 1935.” The Colonial Secretary seconded.

The Attorney General addressed the Council and moved the First reading of a Bill intituled An Ordinance to amend the Ordinances and Regulations of Hong Kong (1937 edition) Ordinance, 1936.”
