No. 405.-His Majesty the KING has been graciously pleased to approve the award of the Colonial Police Medal for conspicuous gallantry to the following members of the Hong Kong Police Force :-

Sergeant WILLIAM STIRTON MCHARDY.

No. 406.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve that Major CHARLES MANNERS MANNERS, Ö.B.E., be allowed to resign his commission in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 3rd May, 1939, and with permission to retain his present rank.

No. 407. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve that Lieutenant REGINALD PHILIP PHILLIPS be allowed to resign his commission in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 6th May, 1939, and with permission to retain his present rank.

No. 408.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve that Captain ALPHONSO MCCOAN THORNHILL be allowed to resign his commission in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 9th May, 1939, and with permission to retain his present rank.
