ORDINANCE No. 18 of 1935. (BUILDINGS).

His Excellency the Governor in Council has been pleased to order the addition of the proviso hereunder appearing to the order applying Section 122 of the Buildings Ordinance, 1935, to the New Territories as published in Government Notification No. 4 of the Gazette of 6th January, 1939.

Proviso above referred to

Provided that the said Section shall apply to blasting in underground mining and tunnelling only in so far as it requires such precautions to be taken as shall effectively prevent any fragments from being projected in such manner as to be dangerous.

No. 335.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. CLAUDE BRAMALL BURGESS to be Deputy Clerk of Councils, with effect from 29th April, 1939.

No. 336.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance, No. 21 of 1934, to appoint Mr. REGINALD THOMAS BROADBRIDGE to be a Deputy Registrar of Births and Deaths, with effect from 24th April, 1939.

No. 337-Ilis Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Captain EDWARD NEVILL THURSBY to be Adjutant, Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 26th April, 1939.
