No. 238.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Mr. CLIFFORD GEORGE SOLLIS, M.A. (Oxon.), to be Director of Education, with effect from 1st April, 1939.

No. 239.-With reference to Government Notification No. 88 of 9th February, 1934, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. HENRY WYLDE EDWARDS HEATH to be a Member of the Committee to administer the Mercantile Marine Assistance Fund of Hong Kong, vice Mr. ALFRED REGINALD SEYMOUR MAJOR, with effect from the 30th March, 1939.

No. 240.-It is hereby notified that during the absence on leave of Mr. H. A. KELLER, Vice-Consul for Switzerland at Hong Kong, Mr. ERNEST HAUSAMMANN will be in charge of the Swiss Consular Agency.
