ORDINANCE No. 2 of 1889. (EVIDENCE).

Pursuant to section 2 (a) of the Evidence Ordinance, 1889, it is hereby ordered by the Governor in Council that the Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij, N. V., a foreign banking company carrying on business in this Colony, be and the same is recognized as a bank for the purposes of the said Ordinance.

No. 184.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the Honourable Mr. STANLEY HUDSON DODWELL, provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily, during the absence of the Honourable Mr. JOHN JOHNSTONE PATERSON, an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council, with effect from 11th March, 1939.

No. 185.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. THOMAS ERNEST PEARCE, provisionally, and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council, in the place of the Honourable Mr. JOHN JOHNSTONE PATERSON, who is temporarily absent from the Colony, with effect from 11th March, 1939.

No. 186.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under Section 3 (1) of the Vaccination Ordinance, 1923, Ordinance No. 12 of 1923, to appoint Miss LAU CHI-MAN () to be a Public Vaccinator, with effect from 22nd February, 1939.
