No. 121. In accordance with regulation 8 of the Regulations as to grant, forfei- ture, restoration and other matters concerning The Efficiency Medal in regard to the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, published as Notification No. 579 in the Gazette of 2nd August, 1935, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to authorize the following award:

Efficiency Medal.

To the Owners of Saint John's Cathedral Precincts.

No. 122. Take notice that Section A of Saint John's Cathedral Precincts, comi- prising 1,170 square feet, being the area coloured pink on a plan deposited in the Land Office, is required for a public purpose and will be resumed on the expiration of one month from the date of the posting of this notice on the said land and that thereupon such compensation will be paid as may be awarded in the manner provided by the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance, 1900, as amended by the Crown Lands Resumption Amendment Ordinance, 1930, and further take notice that you are hereby called upon to nominate a member to serve on the Board of Arbitrators to determine the amount of compensation to be paid in respect of such resumption, and that in the event of your failing to nominate a member to serve on the Board within one week after the date of the expiration of this notice then the Chairman of the Board may nominate a member to serve on your behalf.

SUPREME COURT.

No. 123. The offices of the Supreme Court will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the Chinese New Year Vacation, except on public and general holidays, when the offices will be entirely closed, subject, however, to the provisions of section 5 of the Supreme Court (Vacations) Ordinance, 1898, so far as it relates to the criminal sessions. The Chinese New Year Vacation begins on the 19th February and terminates on the 23rd February, 1939, (both days inclusive).
